Hattie R. Martin, Verdette K. Bagley, Renee Baxter
I had the extreme pleasure, both professionally and personally, of singing with and getting to know Hattie R. Martin. Hattie along with Renee Baxter as well as myself were in a group called God’s Unique Singers back in the 80’s. We chose that name because as a group we strived to be eclectic in our harmonies and styles. Hattie mainly sang the tenor part, but her vocal range allowed her to occasionally interchange the soprano or alto part.. Her unique and soulful sound resonated, and still does, with power giving Renee and I the foundation on which we, as a group, could all build and contribute our individual God given talents. She is not just one of the best tenors I have ever sung with, she is also my sister in Christ.-- Verdette K. Bagley

I sang with Hattie in two groups, "God's Echoes", a Choir, and "God's Unique Singers", a Trio. Singing with her will always be an experience I'll cherish. She's a Mentor, Sister, Friend, and such a Gifted Singer. Most of all, she has the ability to use her gifts to bring out the best in others. Simply put, I just LOVE her. -- Renee Baxter
